Things can get SO messed up

Good news is that the web enables people to communicate better and share important ideas all over the world. But the challenging news is: that can really mess you up, and is important to realize ahead of time.

So you can be prepared. Or try to be.

And also realize, much is being figured out, so is VERY hard often to get a feel for your situation. Life must continue, regardless. Where with myself found had to drop some ways of looking at things from the past, while gleefully grabbing hold of better perspective of the now.

Like yeah, am world's latest major discoverer. And happily shared math things of great importance across the web and watched as things changed. And members of the math establishment apparently learned they could, at least near as I can tell so far, ignore properly acknowledging. Where still am not sure how they're pulling that one off. Am finding it finally irritating again. For a bit was cool with it, after the past rages.

Yeah and again am glad is math. So can prove things with absolute certainty. Which yeah would check and re-check and check again. Wish to be logical, but do not trust myself. Supposedly could trust others. That is not what reality demonstrated.

One thing with their continued success against easy mathematical proof may be people thinking that hey, if what I have is so important? How could experts in the math field possibly ignore? Yeah, see the Catch-22? I did YEARS ago.

If people struggling to hold on to advantages from the past can do that to me, when is easy to prove am world's latest major discoverer, then imagine what they can do to others.

Wow, I actually have it better. At least I can prove beyond any doubt. Others might not have that perfect assurance.

Actually is interesting that math folks would APPARENTLY fight like they have. Have to hedge much. So much is about NOT doing what is expected if presented with something new and wonderful that is mathematical. Is not like I need to do much but watch and wonder. Fighting against mathematical truth? You cannot win. You can delay the inevitable, but human beings are going to go with what actually works. Is just a matter of time.

It still seems so strange. Web disruption in that way is not intuitive to me. That dedication AGAINST might evolve as well. Then am sure would push the web to evolve more in reaction. That seems cool at least envisioning a more dynamic process, of action and reaction, with web evolution.

Am looking at arenas where people apparently have decided they no longer care what it takes and they will personally stop web revolutions if they can.

I find that attitude intriguing. And yeah, but with what methods? Find am struggling at imagining.

The web apparently is aware. And how the web reacts to such things? Can be kind of hard to understand as well. So will try to give MY guesses as how web reacts. And I talk the web kind of as an entity when am not sure to what extent may be. But is more fun.

But yeah, so maybe those HUGE social media numbers were not telling us what we thought, though I believe that having millions of followers on social media IS significant. But our belief helped drive growth--of social media. Are we more important to the web? Or is growth more important?

My view is that growth and continued evolution of the web is more important.

And I suspect the web would agree.

So yeah, expect harsh reality. Look to have things that are great on the one hand bring massive challenges on the other. And get very wary when it comes to money things. My analysis is that the web hasn't even bothered solving the money problem, as what's the motivation?

While for ME, there is HUGE motivation, and have learned to share more. Like yesterday updated my post talking what is now a situation of having been evicted. That is painful. Why share? Helps me process and also yeah, you can check me on so much that I say which is important. That information is relevant in understanding my situation as well.

Am more convinced there is a war that has erupted which is futile. Yeah, I know, resistance is futile, is classic. But the web does not care as these people are unaware of how much the web already knows. Am looking at things that simply look naive to me, until I realize: money is their focus.

So we need to figure out the money problem. And by we, mean web folks who for a long time have just been happily discovering and exploring new possibility. While others may have been ruthlessly trying to hold on to the world that was.

Have talked money much so noting a shift here as in the past thought was simply my concern to figure out how to make money. Did not occur to me also needed to consider nasty humans fighting to keep web people impoverished, as why would that occur to me?

It is such silly behavior if true. Ok, so there is a slight adjustment to considering that possibility.

And expect things to be messed up on the web if you start getting some success measures. Like with me, with MASSIVE global reach, and puny other things. Also be suspicious more on monetary matters and less trusting. Considering the possibility of short-sighted human beings fighting a losing battle which messes up your finances in the now.

The web adventure? May be simply heating up. Is cool. Is just more knowledge really. Gotta love it.

Comfort contemplating historical resistance to ideas

One of the best things that happened for me YEARS ago when trying to process struggles with my own ideas, from wondering if were valid to wondering how might if ever be accepted was to look at historical examples. There are some stunningly tragic stories. And there are a few that helped me much! Where explaining that comfort is useful I think.

Like recently posted yet again about Dr. Ignaz Semmelweis who ended up in an insane asylum where he died after he tried to push medical doctors in his times to wash their hands before treating pregnant women.

In our times we can witness fights over innovation like, I like to note that you have taxi companies fighting hard rather than embracing letting people book and pay for rides using their smartphones. Thankfully less tragic than a man dying so awfully when he was working to save lives, so to me is useful there as well as emotion is maybe more weird.

Also telling we are not so advanced as a species, still. Could put up quite a few examples actually but have seized upon a few that I think are easily shared, easily checked, and hard to challenge.

We humans evolved. For me was something had to accept as an adult as was taught by fundamentalist Christians, and when was a kid learning, what was taught all seemed to make so much sense! Which turns out is good for human community. If everyone questions everything, then human society falls apart.

Is fascinating to consider that like mythologies are no longer taught by most as valid religions in our time, and as science continues to develop and maybe gets taught better, eventually humans will find it remarkable that doubting evolution was a thing.

Questioning everything? Would be hard to get much done. As like will dutifully work at this post which am editing now, after having worked hard to produce. And post updated version, confident others will read! But how do I know? How do I know anyone is ever reading anything I put on the web? Such thoughts can hamper DOING things. And I look at these words, before will go live. What shows is what I let remain. How do I know YOU exist? I imagine you when writing. Check web stats as best can and other things. Trust that the web works like I think it does. Effort made. Words will be put up. Our belief in systems is important.

Still we must constantly question to keep our many varieties of human systems healthy and valid am sure.

Like to think there are those people who DO keep questioning and work to be one myself, though I do not try to question everything. Naturally focus in areas where believe will have much meaning for my life, and have felt greatly rewarded by that questioning. But answers can also bring challenges.

So yeah, you get stories where people can prove things beyond any reasonable doubt, and still face fierce resistance, which only subsides over time. And eventually folks can wonder over things like, how could medical doctors ever have fought fiercely--to not wash their hands before treating people?

Which is a comfort for the discoverers and other innovators. Humanity can be understood. And is not really terrible actually as long as you do not just run into walls. People may throw walls up in front of you, when you can prove you are right, but try not to run into them. Because that will hurt.

Joking a bit, as the point is--can run into resistance which is NOT rational. Which cannot be overcome by rational means by the discoverer. That sentence bothers me. Is it true? What does history reflect?

Historical record indicates that over time the truth wins out.

Like eventually science found out about microbes, and was understood that hand-washing could destroy dangerous ones. And we have an easy to understand explanation of how protects patients--from their doctors, who in the past killed off quite a few by spreading deadly infections.

So took other discoverers. Like research of Louis Pasteur came after Dr. Ignaz Semmelweis.

Will admit as time progresses with my own story recognize how much is shifting rapidly. But does help appreciate the discoverers. People who question much, are important to others like them as well, for that additional reason.

Which to me is useful perspective worth sharing.

Protections against pressure

One thing might help me to admit is how much work, especially on my blogs, is designed to get ahead of potential pressure in certain areas.

For example long have been concerned could be pushed into being some kind of political figure. So came up with Core Middle Party where link goes to post on Lost in Commentary made October 27, 2011. My personal ideas for a political party which establishes my baseline on political positions as was easier to just make a complete one than not. Was like mental effort to establish SOME positions or mental effort to just get a complete political party? About the same I concluded. So yeah, may as well just make a complete one.

With my stated goal being to be out of politics as much as possible. Which to me makes sense that I would make up my own political party to stay out of politics. If puzzles you, maybe think about it until can figure out the logic.

Lots political is on Lost in Commentary where had my baseline public initial position on American racism, posted January 31, 2011. Where have finally clarified things with several posts more recently as look to be finished with the area. And re-reading it, is interesting how much has shifted even in how I talk the subject. Like compare with my latest post on subject on this blog. And am surprised at some of my phrasing back then. Is interesting to note too that science now says race is a social construct. Well DO like progress. Will leave older post authentic to its time and not fiddle with it.

Was important for me to be clear of race as soon as possible.

On business side was concerned about monetary pressure which remains a concern. But much work was done here. Like figured out my own analysis of how money flows, posted April 29, 2015. Where have LOTS of posts on more than one blog covering my position that money is just an abstraction of a favor with a social IOU backed by society itself. Is important though that with that position have a post on Lost in Commentary talking how money is introduced into the global economy, posted July 27, 2015.

These are posts that help me decide around certain potential pressure points, where others might maybe push for something or other. So am collecting here. What happens is I reference when needed and yeah can find posts, but is easier to have links in one place.

So have key posts that handle political, as well as ones related to international trade, global economy, and now have finished my political position on race as look to separate from area completely.

Works in progress are on areas where will make money myself! And will leave outside of this post concerns about employment things, or how to make money things. Mainly looking to be sure have completely handled these other things. I think I have. So is like, if for some reason reached a point where someone might want to ask me questions in these areas, would have important things, already answered.

Our common global potential

Am paying more attention to how often notice local stories from around the globe. Also other ways when find myself considering distant nations by various measures, where am learning much about people there. Which to me is a great benefit of the ease of information distribution of the web.

But also means am looking at people getting global attention.

Where do think we need to talk it that way. And have a feeling that often? Is not felt that way for those folks! Where will go meta with my own experience.

Meta just means: self-referential

And self reference helps me keep my facts straight. Like February 2004, decided to put up an open source project for software developers with vague ideas of what MIGHT happen. Wanted good things but was wary then of what I thought might happen if did ok.

Now over fourteen years later, is a relatively small open source project where has at best that I noticed managed a bit over 9 downloads per day, but has been less than that lately. Where that is from a LOT of countries, though again not as many as plenty of other open source projects with which I have compared.

Such things helped me greatly. And besides some web stats for a long time told myself could not notice much impact at all. But as the years have gone by, and have other things that pull global interest as well, have finally accepted--did change my life and in good ways too.

Learned much, and am better appreciating the global reality which gave me the experience, which is web enabled.

Ended up tossing just about everything I thought I knew about what happens if you get global attention. Reality is cooler though. So much speculative before realize had no reason to know better.

Where that POTENTIAL is there for any of us in the modern age, as even if you do not share at all, or are not even on the web, so would not be reading this post more than likely, someone else might share. And next thing, some other person is someone am considering, as ponder to myself the global reality of the web which means I am learning a person's story or something about that person, despite being so distant otherwise.

Which I think is often great. Definitely helps us appreciate core humanity I think. Is worth it then, to ponder how often is true for you. As definitely helps to get a better picture of people all over the world, and not just from nations which used to grab...I think the United States did.

Am not sure. Grew up in this country so realize have no clue how much attention Americans tend to grab around the globe really. We do tend to talk like we get a lot, but am more suspicious lately.

Regardless, am sure will change! Or should say, will continue to change, as web opens up our planet, and knowledge flows more easily around the globe.

Intriguing power of explanation with race

One thing have found myself doing much is writing my own functional views on important things. Where to me predictive certainty is key to determining value: what can you DO with such things where get valid results?

Recently found myself talking race in several areas including here, but in a recent post declaring American racism nearly dead on my G+-- (Update August 10, 2019: Now gone so deleted link.)--has something wish to study more closely:

So educated folks now know that race was an invention--by racists, who were trying to arbitrarily select out some humans as sub-human in a pseudo-class system.

Which is a topic with personal implications for me, as grew up in the Deep South and of course racism was a concern. While I had a unique experience, as a result of being considered gifted, where have wondered about that much. For me became obvious when I'd face people struggling to try to maintain some sense of intrinsic superiority even when utterly failing to demonstrate with real world ability.

Is remarkable to reach a point where can write to me a simple sentence which encapsulates the most important concepts of such a powerfully destructive thing as concept of race.

Reason racists wanted some to be less than human was to justify exploiting them. Like you can exploit a human, but is it exploiting some beast of burden to pull a plow? Of course if you recognize humanity then not only is the exploitation wrong, but also demonstrates a laziness on your part if wish to live off the better efforts of your fellow humans.

It was pseudo-class in that the racists wished to give themselves an elevated position by birth. Where that is not recognized in the United States, which made it a fake class system. Unlike true class systems like in Europe.

And that is all there is to race. Modern science now calls a social construct. And you have an explanation from me on MY opinion of functional aspects, but with what power?

Actually can now deconstruct every aspect around race that you can witness in a society like in the United States. When people can understand something, in my experience? Then they can make better choices. Seems obvious to me.

So is American racism actually nearly dead? And answer is, yes. However, even with a relatively small percentage of Americans desperate to believe they are innately superior they can do a LOT of damage. And will do things to exploit others, which is remarkable to me. Like how can you believe YOU are superior by exploiting better ideas of some other person? They rationalize much I guess.

And of course you have disadvantaged populations still struggling to figure out their place in society, and how to have real opportunity. Especially if still routinely run into hostiles, fighting to both keep their treasured belief in innate superiority, and also hide from consequences in a society that is no longer openly tolerating it.

Merit rules ARE better of course. Web helps as people's behavior over time declares best who they are. Is much harder to hide ideas hostile to core humanity in our times. And much harder to simply build your success on exploiting others, without eventually getting caught.

As web enables information to flow, we learn better about our best behavior. Where can then find the value in sharing! Better ideas am sure help people. To me is that simple.
