Cooking with AI explains much

Can get very counter-intuitive results like rapid adoption of modern AI where I say: unlike with pc's and web? Most people learn AI as useful with help with cooking.

Know my cooking confidence has soared as can talk to AI where who else can guide me on say slow cooker baking a peach upside down cake? (Was delish.)

Is thinking outside box but getting cooking guidance actually helps people learn to prompt AI well. And gives them needed familiarity with most advanced technology on planet now.

Where conversational access to computing power? Finally comes home where we all live as yeah everybody eats.

Logical space for fiction

Logical space is useful for virtual worlds which is great for fiction and video games. 

Yesterday had some ideas I tweeted. Even had AI review and were solid! So am using for this blog post. Really like phrase: logical space. But can also call logic space if prefer.

Like in Nier Automata the character 9s operated in logic space fighting into hostile alien systems.

Logic space is like with circuit diagrams. And cyber-battles can be intense!

There has actually been much with what can call logical space e.g. Tron which really was ahead of its time.

Now can ponder maybe with AI citizens in a virtual computer world visited by a human.

Which yeah has been done much now including in manga.

Benefit of a logical space is descriptives are completely in creative control.

So like humanoid figures can represent programs. Or travel through circuits can be shown with physical vehicles.

Thus giving complete freedom to craft a fully embodied world for interested audiences.

Why blog instruction manual

When decided to create this blog over a decade ago was from a vague idea of support for my open source software project Class Viewer for Java and wondering about how to make some money from a product so freely shared.

But that didn't go anywhere so shifted more to general interest and now am focused on business fundamentals. Is such a cool journey but oh yeah! Put instruction manual on here.

THAT was brilliant because instruction manuals can be such a pain if need to update! But updating a blog post is easy.

And people may notice that idea from, I forget but was over a decade ago, swept the world. I was definitely one of the first to do it. I think Google had done already but I don't remember.

Now is just a basic way and saves a lot of paper too.

Writing: coding and songwriting considered

Have begun to appreciate more some of my own products, where is just about time. Like have been grateful that open source gave me an opportunity to put up a software product--with few worries.

So with open source you have code which is freely seen, and with open source licenses people can download and use legally--if they follow those rules. (Of course may also download and use illegally by violating those rules.) And I've had an open source software product called Class Viewer which is over 15 years old now. And so far this year has downloads from over 90 countries according to web stats at SourceForge where it is hosted.

Is such a new thing. There was no way when I wrote this little app for help with software development and shared, could realize how exactly would have most effect for me as this signature thing which consistently brings global attention. Is an entirely new thing and perspective on power of sharing ideas, like an open source software project. So yeah, is one of those emergent things of the 21st century with the arrival of the web.

But put songwriting in the title of this post as, to me? Songs are open source writing too.

Routinely have found myself now checking song lyrics on the web, glad they're available. As can be a bit tricky. You think you heard one thing, but maybe was something different. OR has been a bit of time since heard a song, and want to quote a lyric correctly.

But those same songs are NOT free, of course. Just because you can get the lyrics, and am sure the music for some copyrighted song, does NOT mean you can start using it commercially yourself.

Now for a divergence. Here is a link to a song am considering might finish. Who knows if I ever will, and occurs to me putting up ideas for a song not even fully written? Could make it easy to STEAL but am not worried for some reason.

As we move further into the age of the web I do think some naive notions have collapsed. Like what if I had code for sale, where code was open? Think no one would pay? Like maybe you'd think no one would pay for a song...ok, you know better there.

What if some legitimate business entity considered using my code, which they could just copy off the web, without paying me? And I found out? Would they remain a legitimate business entity? Nope.

That would be theft. So yeah, there might be people stealing your code, but they're nasty people anyway, who if you knew were so capable, would you want to do business with them anyway, even if they had the money?

I would not.

Am willing to predict that in time, the business relationship and business trust are going to gain a LOT more value. And if you get caught stealing? In the age of the web? That can get known all over the world with a quickness. And you could find yourself having to do business in different circles.

We're not there yet though, but can imagine. And yeah, wouldn't want to do business with ANYONE capable of just stealing code from me, just because they could.

Just like wouldn't want to do business with anyone who would steal a song of mine, if could actually finish one which was a hit. Kind of like that example as of course is kind of outlandish.

But yeah, songwriting does involve some people who write for a paycheck. Am guessing now maybe more with jingles for commercials? But also the world of songwriting is also a much bigger landscape.

So why not same for lots of other kinds of writing? Maybe the future is there.

And you might have coders, who write for a paycheck, but others who own their code which is open and they sell use, or also I guess, coders also who still write some closed code for some buyer.

But yeah, as contemplate being able to be known all over the world with just ONE thing? (Have other global things too though will add.) Where mattered was open? Am so glad is mine, you know? Where yeah, do realize feel like songwriters might just understand.

When opportunity requires all you have

Have made plenty of efforts to explain myself but keep feeling like more could be added for things to make sense. Like have mentioned had major math discoveries, but importantly back in 2004 a paper of mine finally went live. That math paper demonstrated how to create a perfect looking mathematical argument by ALL the established rules--that nonetheless had an incorrect conclusion.

So yeah, by the rules accepted by mathematicians--the paper is perfect. But you can use a separate mathematical argument to prove that the conclusion is incorrect.

Yeah, really cool, huh? I thought so, and realized that with that demonstration my place in human history was SET in a really big way. Which it is. And it DOES relate to questions about mathematical consistency where Kurt Gödel had famous work in that area. And will admit did have some concerns that I might have sunk human mathematics, which were quickly dispelled. For people who wish more who have mathematical background talk on my blog Some Math which also links to my paper.

The copy is available thanks to a European agency (thank God for those Europeans) as the math journal that originally published it, keeled over and died, after one more edition, after the chief editor deleted my paper out, falsely claiming it was withdrawn. I did NOT withdraw it. Why would I?

So yeah clearly mathematicians did not react the way I expected as we are now at 15 years later, and the paper is still there. It STILL demonstrates a flaw and to my knowledge that flaw has still not been officially addressed. But now maybe it makes more sense how I got attention from 100+ countries where initially that was with math.

But I pioneered advanced problem solving tools, which I like to label as a process of abstract reductionism.

And I kept going. Made more math discoveries but started studying other things so functionally defined science. And more recently functionally defined entertainment, and did other problem solving things. Like have analyzed the global monetary system, and others things.

Oh so was it a big deal for me for mathematicians to not officially recognize my discovery? Well it upset me. I expected their help!!! And when was clear they wouldn't help got very upset. But also was curious and realized had a unique opportunity.

So yeah I plugged the hole in the foundations of established mathematics.

Refined my mathematical tools and made some cool major discoveries--without concern of competition.

Though reality is WAS concerned for years until as the years went by fully accepted was in a cool cruise mode--all by myself.

From my perspective as a major discoverer--it was as good as it gets. No shared credit for anything. NO having to make stupid speeches or show up in a suit for some academic whatever. NO reason to be an academic at all. And freedom to range without question.

But also was very stressful. My reality often felt surreal. My advanced thinking tools could give me massive influence hard to explain. And I still had to work for a living. Which got increasingly harder as have talked though things are intriguingly working better in that regard now.

But yeah by ignoring a MASSIVE flaw that showed their math was inconsistent, and needed a fix, those folks claiming to be mathematicians? To me simply proved they were not functionally. And so they were of no use to me anyway. I began distancing myself from them and like to emphasize am NOT a mathematician myself.

Does the world really care? I debate with myself. The math I use is very easy, so there is no doubt of anything I stated here. The paper is still available so mathematicians can in AWE check it at will. And I have massive influence with a global reach of 100+ countries which apparently is not going anywhere.

For a long time I thought I needed the mathematical community. Eventually realized that was silly.

I could build a better one.

And do much else. Am a major discoverer for the 21st century. Who has been given free reign to wing it often and put a unique spin on plenty of things. And I try not to take myself too seriously. Even though routinely have found myself protecting the world, which at times has gotten weird.

But then again, am just glad have been able. God knows why some person like myself gets the kind of authority I have, where have defined authority on my Seriously Commercial blog.

Over the last 15 years plus often have looked at myself and noted to myself--am not impressed. Often I wonder, how do I even know how to do these things, really?

Am a person though willing to seize opportunity though what was in front of me has taken all I have. And consider for me global attention is just a thing. And is NOT going anywhere.

Now though, more and more am like, is cool.

Curiosity and mystery

Found myself challenged by my own writing asserting a lapse in human curiosity in our times, but then found myself thinking that curiosity is driven by want. Curiosity is about that urge to know that can push into unknown territory where there can be danger.

The less we have an urge to pursue mystery maybe is a hallmark of a species where for many their success or failure with their society is with known paths.

The web of course has disrupted much, and maybe highlights what happens for some humans when that certain knowledge no longer applies for their current reality.

Is curiosity that can push you to go into that dark room where monsters may lurk.

The truths that are available for the discoverers will then be about that quest, where the outcome is not certain.

So I feel like my assessment is correct: modern humans tend to be less curious than our predecessors.

Possibly is simply an assessment of the power of modern civilization which have cheered much as talk about science and its predictive certainty.

We are less likely to believe that an answer lies behind a hidden door than in figuring out what modern tools or behaviors are needed. Which more than likely is the correct position! The success of many cultures with modern science and technology is daily demonstrated.

And for me is a comfort, as well as the means for communications like this one.

Then the dwindling of human curiosity is less of a concern, but is worth noting, for those who DO live different. Some of us are still the discoverers, who brave the unknown, and can wonder why.

Why do we seek truth? Maybe that is a mystery I will not resolve completely, but then again, to me, that reads like a challenge.

Thoughts on my overall plan

When was 18 years old was feeling really good about my capabilities and decided someday would have something big enough to shake the planet intellectually. And especially to dismiss the delusion that some humans are inherently inferior to other humans who think they are inherently superior. And thought a bit and realized would need to find something HUGE with math. Why? Because people lie. Figured needed to use math as an objective arena.

But didn't get focused on expending the vast amounts of mental energy necessary really until April 1995. Am not sure why that was the case, but by 1996 had what I know now was my first major math result. Dutifully sent off to a math journal where an editor rejected the proof as too simple and the game was ON.

Yeah I needed to pick math. In some other arena opinions could rule. But with math, truth rules even if it can take some time. That math editor? Someday the world will know his name and study his entire life just to wonder what was wrong with him. I think that's funny.

Over two decades later have more major math results than most, where debate with myself whether or not have topped out with the greats.

Fun thing is the web really arrived for me and established math people decided to run. Would be more interesting to watch the math chase them down. There is a stunning irony there.

And have been leisurely pumping out the results and studying other things too. It can take awhile. So for instance went into studying entertainment.

The math does most of the work in its arena. Is just so much better than what was known before! Is stunning really. The web puts the math out there.

So there is a part of me that tells me that I can kind of goof off much now. I find that hard to do though. My mental engine likes to chew on problems. It's a habit. So since I have advanced intellectual techniques was enlightening for me to ponder entertainment.

Now billions of people will get better entertainment as a result, including me.

Will admit am more focused on myself there! Have been frustrated often with entertainment which JUST misses. Maybe figure should have some perks with my intellectual capabilities. Though there is that little thing of the current entertainment industry especially in the US facing...probably going belly-up. But do not worry! There are more people to replace the entertainers most of the world will forget about anyway in a few years, if that long.

There are some AMAZING people who are going to wow our world and will be so much better that they will get that chance with far less of the nasty that prior others faced.

Is a great thing really.

And entertainment is an endless arena for problem solving, as can create fictional worlds and realities where imagination rules. Find can relax in entertainment arena.

Social disruption of better is best explained I decided with getting a car ride and paying for it with your smartphone. So many taxi drivers weren't excited about that and they will lose. Customers will win but will take a bit, until will seem silly to everyone, including the taxi drivers who will replace the ones who fought so hard now.

In time, will find most people just love the idea of getting a ride the best way available, including taxi drivers. Isn't it fascinating how that works?

People who will fight, fight, FIGHT when if they were smart enough, they'd know they will not only lose, but the world will someday make fun of them. I can make fun of them now. But usually am careful. People can get really mean. Besides, maybe it isn't the nice thing to do.

So yeah, we will have better mathematics become part of the establishment. I picked that arena on purpose. Truth in math is relentless.

But the fun thing for those who know am right is looking at what current mathematicians are doing, when I just consider most of them to be frauds. So to me? They're entertaining. Especially if they have other people wowing over something I know is false. Some of these things are so dumb I ponder, how do they fool anyone? But most people are afraid of math? And most people trust establishment?

Like do YOU often just trust in areas where you are not sure you can check? I know even I do. It bothers me too. But there is just SO much knowledge and so many important systems, where I don't think anyone can have a good handle on them all. Which includes world's latest major discoverer.

So thinking now that the plan was a good one. And web has helped IMMENSELY.

And thank God could focus on math, and had the ability. Just because I knew I needed an objective arena where lies could not hold did not mean I could pull it off. But the logic of math appeals to me.

Maybe was more built into who I am than I'm willing to admit. Then is quite likely would have pursued mathematical discovery no matter what. But maybe the other motivations just made it more fun? Or helped me keep at it, even facing some challenges? Maybe. Can rationalize with the best of them. Does not make such musings true.

The math itself is the work product for the ages.

Like when you learn geometry, do you really ponder what Euclid was really thinking?

Am a product of my times, and my results seem tailored for the latest age of humanity, when information rules, and the web lets people know.

Web lets people get useful information all over the world. So for instance lets people check me easily. And lets me put up messages like this post, read all over the world.

To crush prior stupid system that was which tried to dismiss so many humans as inferiors requires vast amounts of energy best provided by those trying to maintain it. But how do you get them to waste that energy destroying the very thing they think they are protecting? Good question.

How do we know web success?

Have been pondering quite a few things and found myself relentlessly checking a LOT surveying systems of the world. And yet it did not occur to me to really ask how is it that I think something on the web is successful.

And the sad answer is: have yet again been using prior metrics which really learned in the 20th century, where metric just means measure. When I should have known better.

Have emphasized ease of the web with information distribution. Discovered from my own story that something useful travels well. And found myself struggling to find an explanation for MY money difficulties, until yet again realized should look broader.

Yet again reason could not find a conspiracy around myself would seem to be a broader suppression, which is so weird am more speculative here.

But consider, like a music artist could conceivably with the direct connect of the web, make money, from fans buying songs directly, and I think to myself there are those who do, right? I remember an example in a documentary I saw a while back.

And yeah am vague on subject. Who IS making money on the web? Besides certain HUGE corporations I refuse to name.

Then getting to questions of success. So much focus is on social media. And I really don't know, though have an explanation based on entertainment value for how people who are entertaining would get big social media counts. However only now can we really look to how those correlate with ANY other measure, as have the gift of time.

Can just consider how big social media numbers match with anything else for a person.

So am more speculative here. Have assumed much was seeing success on the web where am not so sure now, but am not sure was not. Like aren't there bloggers who make money? I think there are influencers in lots of areas who end up with agents, who are some of the folks I call money people, and dawns on me, am not sure really how they actually justify monetary amounts.

The full potential of the web? Could put a lot of money people maybe out of work? I guess. Really hadn't thought of them much until recently. Did they figure something out though? Quickly? When challenged? If so, what?

What if though, and here am speculating to the wild limit, the money people are working to make sure you have to go through them? But how would they do it? Ok, will say this direction may be a wacky stretch. But will post as is my blog. And posting helps me get web help, as the ideas flow.

How do we know web success? From whom do we get this information? The public information is there with social media at least, which usually is follower numbers and such. Already talked that though.

And yeah, am focused away from web commerce where of course people are buying things through the web like through a few big companies will not give free advertising by naming. Though I know they do not need it.

Out of a shell and public facing

Does feel good to freely admit now was chasing math discovery as a reaction against American racism. Quietly resolved to not only find something that would blow away racist notions, but which could be done without a doubt. Which meant math.

Still am nervous on the subject though. Which I think is understandable.

Focus on math was to get around people fighting to deny the truth. Math has that ability to be perfectly provable.

And was right to so focus! Had accomplished my goal by summer 2002, and beyond my wildest dreams by 2004 with something else, and have done more since! And not surprisingly various systems pushed back so have been slowly teasing them apart, where weirdly enough not all were racist.

Where have explained those systems so here can talk more about other, like what happens to you when you have global reach, which for me was thanks to the web.

It messes with your mind.

People think it is about press and money and I thought so as well, until was dealing with things, and not having those just meant could process quietly without it being all over the press or embarrassing myself in situations around people with money.

Turns out the press just chases after people who get attention, usually. So was like am just one of the biggest they willfully ignored, and at first was mad then was glad! Especially as learn more about the reality of how things work. Usually for even most celebrities the press is a rarer thing which is about promotion, or is about something negative. So who cares?

When was in San Francisco, was often furious too as did not understand what was going on and was worried would not achieve my dreams when already had really but how to know? Also found myself strutting around at times like this huge global figure. Of course was looking not only at web stats which I emphasize but DOING things as well.

Like will admit did NOT directly influence the 2008 election in Obama's favor. But was active around that election in other ways. And have taken a position not to pick political figures, and not to influence elections. Which has been important overseas.

My view is that politicians should earn their positions, which means winning elections on merit.

So yeah, like am fascinated by British politics but by my ideals will not directly interfere with them. DO at times like to help make fun of them, but I know that is part of their culture, with some things just hilarious! Like here in the US we like ripping on presidents.

For nations that is important, so no--my one planet, many peoples and one human species philosophy is also about not interfering, where look at national boundaries as of HUGE importance. It would take quite a bit for me to cross that line and would talk it out much before would do it.

These are the kinds of things that press should have been questioning me on, and they know why, but for others sounds pretentious am sure, unless also know why, and maybe wondered. So no, despite my interest in the area was dedicated to the idea that any person for the presidency should earn the position on merit only. So will not endorse a candidate on something as specious as race, as am ONLY looking for merit. For now will not endorse any political candidate. That could change for the US only though.

Made up my own political party to help me in this area, which is not official so can claim myself as only one following it. Which helps me separate from others in American politics.

For years really went into a shell in many ways, which got worse when got laid off from my regular job doing data entry at a major insurance company. Maybe was more like what one would expect for a global figure. Happened after I decided needed to put my picture up. Decided was my duty to show a Black man in a different way, who had global reach.

The willful lack of discussion around me in certain areas IS deliberate am sure. And am like that kind of thing worked in the past. With me just lets me take you apart without you saying anything about it, if you are certain organizations like press or certain businesses or political people.

And have done it. Have done it many times and it amazes me that people can learn things that worked for over 150 years after slavery which do not work with the web, and quietly go down in flames, knowing am telling them am doing it. I like to let them know ahead of time, you know?

Ever more sophisticated techniques developed for a 20th century world. But in 21st century can simply explain them. And study them with some fascination. In essence were systems working to NOT have merit rules so mostly males who lacked sufficient ability, could be successful regardless.

Now their authority is being checked.

THAT is the part other people maybe do not witness and cannot understand when some dysfunctional yet powerful organization simply crumbles when I told them would do it, where will admit that requires help! And lots of it. And they just implode. Web enables. Or in other words do NOT completely understand how it all happens either just that it is possible because of the web.

Then headlines then around the world, but not the correct explanation.

Is important to admit I do NOT completely understand the process and was a source of much back-and-forth with myself for years. So you reality check, which is the other reason to inform ahead of time. But also found limits. And very important limits with web help in general, especially if was a personal problem, as in, never worked for a personal problem. Seemed to routinely work for global problems, and you can get a vast range of emotions on that one. Like I have this job without a paycheck for it, and realize, yeah, actually I do.

Leaving me with the task of also finding still a paying occupation, which also I learned has to be completely separate! Where for some time seemed so wrong, and now am like, oh, I understand better. Still is kind of thing is better to learn sooner than later--before you become impoverished. And have discussed my current financial desperation on another blog. Yup, talking a personal problem, so yeah DO keep trying. Do talk so many things out now.

And you think then I can simply be moved by being ignored? I think that is funny. Gave me time to process but have pushed myself recently as ponder my responsibilities. Part of me simply wished to just withdraw from the world as much as possible. And for years in many ways did, into a protective shell.

With much progress and the web picking up steam in shredding so many of those prior systems was ironic to note to myself, maybe I never needed my dream anyway. The web by allowing information to flow freely is helping radically debunk delusions of innate superiority of a ruthless and cruel few still left with them.

Regardless feels good that not only DID I achieve my goals, but was right--needed math. AND got to quietly process through reality of high levels of attention, without that making headlines around the globe.

Public facing is very important for me because is a constant thing with my global presence. My blogs and other social media do most of the heavy lifting there though. They are very good at it too. While my global is easily checked by others. And more and more understand a lot more about why certain things are done in certain ways, as reality is, for each of us, how we look public? Matters much.

Lessons from goals achieved

Was looking for big ideas because of racial things, when first resolved when was 18 would find SOMETHING. Had plenty of problem solving training, thanks to being considered gifted since age 9, and also had hefty skepticism of authority. Looking around me did not look like our planet was being run well, and did not just accept that institutions were to be considered sacrosanct.

Also in going to college was escaping indoctrination in a fundamentalist Christian religion which had been so severe and effective, still struggled with topic of evolution when got in college.

Though had grown up thinking would become a writer, was concerned that even great work would never be properly recognized so deliberately put math on my radar as an arena to check. But knew enough to go simple. Sure had first taught myself calculus when was 12, soon after learned algebra, but that was chasing a hero of mine, Albert Einstein. Read a biography saying he had done that, so I tried. But mathematics has so much abstruse, and so many complex areas, would pursue low hanging fruit.

That is, would use simple mathematics in areas where maybe something had been missed. And was a great decision as figured out, yeah lots had been. And the point of mathematics was an objective area versus a subjective one, like with a novel.

Good decision as well as in looking at how the objective information has been treated there was a vastly more entrenched system than I realized. While science has also figured out that race is a social construct, which it seems relies heavily on DNA evidence. Which is ironic.

And the news has been trumpeted--like, humans outside of Africa are more related than humans within. And human appearance is a very malleable but small area of our genetics, which simply adjusts to climate. That person who believes in race? Is looking at characteristics of climate of ancestors, like a dry climate leading to longer noses, and nothing more.

Well that was a relief. The question of equality settled by science. All humans ARE created equal with the important things, and there is no doubt. So what of the social injustice?

Well the answer there is with that--social construct. It's just ideas in people's heads.

With major math and looking at behavior around its discovery and attempts to ignore as much as possible, have been able to trace out a system, which the world is finally beginning to notice. Like it pushed women to the side, deliberately, and women in this country were trained they were bad at math, when the very word computer used to be, for women who computed.

Women were pushed out of the computing industry. Where looking at the people who dominated it, and how wealthy some became, is not a surprise, to me at least.

Over and over again can notice where facts were ignored. Best humans for jobs by merit were relentlessly sidelined by people who fought for control of the planet. And with control, willfully pushed into a direction which could eradicate all life with greenhouse gases pumped into the atmosphere long after was known could create climate change. And yeah, it still continues, though world is beginning to recognize the danger. But probably a lot because of bad weather events starting to happen.

How could our species be so demonstrated stupid enough to endanger ourselves in this way?

Why? Is ape behavior I very much believe. Humans evolved from apes. And apes do not do science or understand principle or any of those things. And when human beings gain certain types of success they surround themselves with support systems made up of a little community kind of. And in that community powerful males will behave in essence as apes.

The thin veneer of human ideals disappear. Seems like it happens much too. They rape, or simply molest and steal or dominate in ways that hearken back to millions of years ago, is my simple theory.

And in their ape state? They cannot comprehend science much, or understand how enjoying themselves and glorifying in their status could endanger their planet.

Yeah, they get REALLY stupid.

Politics around talking about human beings as evolved from apes gets really weird. Like in the US was used as a smear against Black folks. Irony of course is we're all, equally evolved from apes. And yeah, turns out that race is just some made up thing anyway.

How do you bring into just civilized behavior that atavistic person who with success surrounds himself with support humans to behave like an ape? I have a theory.

Solution: clear the sycophants and others in his support system. Once he is isolated away from his pseudo-community which for him is experienced as an ape group, he behaves again.

Humanity returns.

If you ARE a part of such a support structure? Leave. That person you admire so much? Is capable of unspeakable harm to you, and would ENJOY it. You are dealing with an ape in a human body.

Well that is my simple theory. Seems to afflict males from what have seen in the news. And seemingly bizarre behaviors, especially predatory towards others? Is explained as ape behavior.

We just have to keep dudes from getting to that place, or punish them severely enough when they do that others are afraid to go there.

While also admit lack scientific qualifications to make a scientific assessment here. So I consider this post to be very much satirical.

Money people scare me

Some of the most valuable celebrities on the planet--are dead. When analyzing their lives as pondered attention reality for many reasons, have noticed with some concern that over and over again there are people in the past barely visible who often started these celebrities out, who make money from them--dead or alive.

And starkly, alive a person can be a harm to a legacy. Which we can notice better in our times.

Am sure certain people figured it out long ago. Money people terrify me as spin what sounds conspiracy. And admit how can I be sure? But we can study so many cases.

Just consider what is happening to the value of certain intellectual property in our time as personal truths are making certain content plunge in value. Have looked at situations where if a person had died before certain things became public, we're looking at intellectual property that could have been more valuable in the BILLIONS in US dollars.

Checking celebrity backstories, over and over again, find wealthy people in the background who funded them to get them off the ground.

And people miss this reality but for me became something had to study. And will give one of the good guys for perspective. And talked Ronald Wayne in a G+ post in my Politics Collection back August last year. Since G+ is going away have to copy to here:

So much matters how people talk things, and report. Like with the founding of Apple Computer now Apple Inc.

Have watched LOTS of documentaries on subject as find it fascinating. And Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak were both in their early twenties, living with their parents, when had this hobby computer they figured could sell BIG. They had sold to some of their friends.

Was Ronald Wayne who gave them lots of business expertise, and then stepped away from the company early. He was already wealthy in his own right, and had lots of free time to help two eager young people, where one documentary noted they were kind of smelly. Early folks like Mr. Wayne also helped them clean up, including dress nicer. Is so amazing and you need to do the research to see how dramatic that was.

That two smelly young men, living with their parents, would go on to found one of the greatest companies on the planet? Had a lot to do with expertise they did not have, which was the knowledge of business provided to them, by people like Mr. Wayne who then simply walked away. To me he is a heroic figure. Our country owes much to him.

Countries around the globe that look at the US, pondering how this country does so well with innovation?

Need to study that story and ponder.

He actually gets grief from people talking as if he messed up in simply helping two smelly twenty-somethings get their computer company off the ground with his substantial business know-how. And exited rather than exploiting his helping founding Apple for all it was worth.

I think he is a telling hero. And he was and is highly successful. Why should he wish to be ruthlessly wealthy? What more was there for him to gain? Relentless pursuit of more money for no reason.

Today look at any number of celebrities with concern, who may not realize they may be more valuable dead than alive, with bursts of sales generated by an untimely death.

Also am wondering about situations where surmise people were turned to drugs deliberately, by others who knew what they were doing. Our species can be this way folks. There are people in our species who can be so cruel, and cold and calculating.

Conceivably is easy: get'em hooked on drugs early helps for control but later can help you cash out on'em.

Luckily in our times can just look at track records. Check the money people and how many have done great, as people they supposedly helped so much have gone down, over and over and over again, in highly predictable ways.

Maybe celebrity DOES just tend to lead people down dark paths relentlessly. Maybe the money people are not as terrible as I fear. But then suspect that there should be positive evidence in their favor.

Human beings are about a totality of a life. We tell ourselves in so many ways.

And a world has just accepted that so often highly talented people for some reason tend to die tragically leaving VASTLY more money to be made by certain people, who could remain hidden before. Television didn't talk about them much if at all.

Now the web lets you study them. And study what other things they have been doing too.

You will find it--enlightening.

With my own situation have been stunned to realize how much looks like I need money people. And ponder them sitting out their like spiders on a web, knowing that creative folks like me need them, under current systems.

That they can just sit patiently and wait.

Musing on copyright, work and appreciation

Often look for simple explanation from extremes, like in looking to understand copyright in the modern age, pondered the Mona Lisa. One of the most famous paintings in the world has one of the most shared images in the world--without diminishing its value.

And how often does Leonardo da Vinci get his attribution? Making sure to do so here, as his famous painting is definitely a great legacy to our world. And will use as a stepping stone into a simple explanation, with musings, on copyright in age of the web.

Valued effort should be rewarded. Great effort should be rewarded greatly, but isn't necessarily.

His painting destined to be considered the world's greatest in our times, or close if some wish to argue, was not so valued in Leonardo's life. In fact he carried the Mona Lisa around for years, fiddling with it. Which to me is a reason to not feel like I shouldn't have the right to endlessly change things I create, as to me he was the master who showed a way.

Of course if someone came to you with a picture of the Mona Lisa claiming credit, who would believe such a person? So proper attribution back to source is key. And in the web is easier. Creator can have a webpage with that information, or others can. Like Leonardo da Vinci can rest easy. No one will gain credit for his work. Some put up work trying to GIVE him credit instead, which can cause endless debate there.

We should want to reward effort. Yet even if someone slaps the Mona Lisa, say on a t-shirt, is it a problem? Image is in the public domain. Yet I don't know if that is enough to actually sell much, just having the Mona Lisa on a t-shirt. (Will ponder that angle further though.)

To me, short of it is: effort of the original should be recognized. Person who did the work should profit, or if cannot, or does not want--others should not as if they did the work.

But who would pay a premium to a person who did not do anything other than copy, if they knew?

Knowledge is key I think. And also copying is EASY in our times. In the past was not. So kind of think copying will have less and less value in the minds of most as we mature into the web age.

People in my experience DO tend to appreciate best efforts and feel like reward should go where is due.

What discoverer rules?

When was a kid remember when was at first excited by biographies of major discoverers. Pored over them, usually reading ones written for kids. Until as a teenager remember was feeling more contrary, and reading something or being taught something about some person from long ago, was suddenly skeptical. How did these people claiming these things know really?

Maybe then was a certain curiosity, as yes, wanted to be one myself! Which told myself was an impossible dream. Which I like to dangle out there for those who claim you should just go for your dreams. But what if your dream is to be the next Albert Einstein? Or the next Sir Isaac Newton? Or Gauss? Or Euclid? Or Archimedes?

As I list out a lot of names fit with science and mathematics. What about your dreams then?

And what are the actual rules in that area? What even makes a discoverer and at what level, so how do you even evaluate such dreams?

Regardless, became more suspect of claims of people who would talk as if they knew them. As grew older of course started reading biographies written for adults, and my skepticism became more clear.

But what if DID become one? Would they notice me? Such an odd thing to consider as a test like no other in human history, if possible. But of course, so much to me an impossible dream for so long.

The 21st century cares not for human pretension. I took it for granted some major figure WOULD emerge. Someone always does. Something scholars should know.

The pretension around truth fascinates me. What is truth? How do we know it?

Who are these people who believe they know, the discoverers?

How might a 21st century discoverer be different?

Good questions. Those who know their history realize, there will be an answer. Humanity has a remarkable habit of finding new levels, constantly. Someone must be called.

Maybe such scholars lack faith, in human.

Is there such a thing as destiny? Or do we make it.

Beyond year of explanation

Spent a lot of time this year trying to explain myself, to others and to myself really. Seems like a good idea to make a post which tries to simplify and get it all together.

Main point is have ideas, lots of ideas. Some of those are math ideas, and when was 26 had a math thing which should have made me world famous. Math people didn't accept it though, one guy said was, too simple. Being of a certain type though, I simply persevered, piling up major discoveries and now over 20 years later have more math discoveries than keep up with easily. The math people are entrenched, and I insult them a lot about it, as am shocked by their betrayal of the human species.

Feel like I ended up in an odd intellectual war, where none should have been.

Otherwise, I branched out, like finding my own definition of science, which works better than any other, so I could help people believe in climate change. And THEN giddy with having this thing, came up with a simple way to define entertainment, as why not? I LIKE entertainment.

And I unleashed my definition of entertainment as a way to safely control mood, on the world, and have been looking to see what happened.

The press has been clueless. They listen to establishment people like those math people I insult a lot, and they all get diminished as I raise reasonable doubt about their competency around the globe. I got that kind of ability. Is SO cool. They are fated to fall much. Makes history more interesting will admit.

The press is too important for them not to be properly trained. Painful lessons unfortunately may be only ones that will work. Wishing for a better way does not make one appear.

There is an iconoclastic aspect to my attitudes, in contradiction to the discovery which can inflict me potentially as an icon, on those trained by a 20th century world insisting on dismissing me--as 21st century learns how to present me. And I learn how to live with it.

And yet I'm POTENTIALLY known all over the world. Making me one of the most influential humans who is underreported in all of human history. I am unique. Apparently that slot was still available in human history.

As a 21st century discoverer, I break the molds of the past, as I work to define, and find a better framework but for what future?

Enabled much by the web, great thing is web enables others also to check me on EVERYTHING, and be along for the fun. Definitely my story allows you to check so many people, on so many things.

My ideas help our world in so many ways, am sure. But how do I know?

Which I think is very cool. But have struggled as a result of much with making money, so am working on that.

Still kind of a long post, maybe. So hard to really get to just the essence that matters.

Ask and answer, myself

My situation is weird enough have a global readership without a global press interested enough to ask me pertinent questions, so figured may as well go meta again, and ask and answer questions I think others might wonder. Being press with myself? Ok, will try.

1. Why do you post?

Usually am posting to share information think is important for a particular audience. As main blogs have been around for over a decade there is kind of a long conversation going in a sense.

2. What makes you think your posts do anything valuable?

Generally am looking at some kind of objective measure where long ago discovered was not getting expected ones much. So got creative. Look over a lot of things where do not explain to check if a post reached desired audience. Since am not into the mass market that may look a different way to others.

3. You sound so confident often, are you trying to convince people you're successful?

Not trying to convince as have worked more to accept my ongoing audience, which presumably understands my successes. And have focused less and less on mass market approaches.

4. Sounds like you have a disdain for the mass market, why is that?

Old view from television most successfully was that you could reach a mass market effectively, like most of the country watching sports on Sunday, which is still true to some extent. My focus is niche. Am looking at people interested in particular things, versus say, talking to entire United States.

But also my readership is global. So mass market for me would be billions of people with that reach, which would be scary to have anyway. Prefer things as they are: focused on people interested, all over the world.

5. Why are you not covered by the press if your ideas are so important?

You, me pretending to be press person, ask great questions! If I say so myself, and my best guess is that the press is still 20th century focused on establishment institutions and yup, mass market metrics. That is, measures which indicate ability to do well in the mass market, already talked.

While people like me, with global reach that is more fragmented, don't register with them as worth reporting on. Which will change am sure, as world adjusts to the web. Good question, me.

6. Do you really think this question and answer with yourself will impress anyone or just seem weird?

Um, that is not the kind of question for which I have a good answer self. Think we're about done.

7. Ok, ok, last question. Any plans for Halloween?

Wow, I really took this pretending to be a press person too far. Um, no. You know that too! You're me! Just being mean. Am in a lonely period spending WAY TOO much time on web. Is ok.

Working on knowledge foundations is hard

One thing finally occurred to me recently as considered things like my functional definitions covering some important areas was had found myself working at foundations of basic knowledge. Which should NOT be happening. Should NOT be necessary. And, um, why am I?

Keep asking myself that question.

Most of that work is done, though thankfully. And with repairs where necessary going into place, can reflect more. Our global knowledge base is important enough for me to have taken the time. Glad most important part of that work is done. Is a relief for me. Was kind of hard! But how could one person do so much? Web definitely makes MUCH of that easier, especially the part about putting the fixes in place. Have to have them though to be distributed. And THERE things are very interesting I think.

Is about the power of abstraction. Is like a lever. Had me thinking about a certain person, and found what I wanted at a site with quotes from him, including one have pondered often:

Give me a place to stand and with a lever I will move the whole world. -- Archimedes.

Of course he was right. Am sure he would have loved the web. Archimedes was one of the greatest intellectuals of all time. Was doing calculus over a thousand years before Sir Isaac Newton and Gottfried Leibniz reinvented then I think, though of course assume they developed far further. But hey, we're looking at what was left from almost two thousand years ago, who knows what didn't make it. Not sure what relevant scholars think in that area.

Have explained much and as consider the big picture reality of it all, is helpful for me to emphasize, is actually really hard! And takes a TREMENDOUS amount of mental energy, time and a lot of relentless pursuit of ideas that are useful abstractions. Like abstracting entertainment as a way we use to safely control mood. That is compact folks.

Is like with algebra where basic abstraction is that letters are used instead of numbers. Where you can have that graduated. Like 2+3 = 5, get to x+3 = 5, to x+y=5, to x+y = z. Which is an area of abstraction that apparently many humans at least in the US find very challenging. So much that routinely I have noted when adults complain wondering, what is the point of learning algebra? Many of them apparently confident they don't use it, as adults.

You use the concept of abstraction as an adult, the more you use your mind.

Lawyers are faced with legal abstractions, which can be so difficult to learn, take years, followed by years of practice. Of course medical professionals do as well, where also have to learn vast amounts of medical knowledge, made sensible by abstractions.

I could go on with professions where mind matters more. Next find myself thinking of chefs. But also of why can be so hard to be one, or to be a doctor, or a lawyer. Yup and can go back to that difficulty, with algebra.

Less you handle abstraction, more likely you are to be in a position where simply instructed. Like you can work for a chef, who needs to know a lot of abstraction, while you simply follow instructions to help prepare that wonderful dish that wows the customers of a top tier restaurant. Still important to the process of course.

To me is kind of depressing to look at that way though may be about personal bias. Have wanted to work with my mind for as long as I can remember. But have also simply followed instructions and it was ok. Is also personal I think to make that allusion so should simply state my opinion, people may find that yeah, difficulty with algebra when young? Is related to difficulty in other areas as an adult.

Once found though, abstractions move our world and embody our science and technology with the meaning that allows us to discover and keep progressing.

Like consider the abstraction, all human beings are created equal.

Yes, is also an ideal, but debates over that one still erupt all over our world and consume our politics, but how do you grasp it? Turns out our science actually can give a genetic answer, with it being learned that peoples outside of Africa, are actually more closely related than peoples within, regardless of appearance otherwise. Continent of human origin is also continent with greatest human genetic diversity.

Understanding that science? I think is good.

Considering abstractions at the foundations of our knowledge am pondering why is necessary for me, but appreciative of the ability which began as a child when suddenly that algebra which looked so impossible, looked so easy. It just happened in a process understand now is about neurological development as have considered abstractions that help us understand our reality, and how we know, what we know within it.

Algebra is just presented in the US at about the point certain capacity develops, and yeah, is worth it to just work at it, as best you can. If it escapes you is not doom though, and am sure can learn abstraction in other ways! So much can depend too on how well is taught.

Handling abstraction though is key to the power of the human mind.

A gentler way to global really

There is a different way to consider some of my recent disclosures where to me are actually things on repeat, like how was preparing for global attention in 2004, when a math journal decided to go wacky on me, and keeled over and died, after I got a paper published and a chief editor tried to literally simply delete it out of the electronic version.

One way which was how I saw it at THAT time was that I'd been stymied. And quite upset, went through quite a bit of distress wondering what was wrong with the world, as my preparations for news interviews were clearly in vain. And now over 13 years later could seem kind of, sad.

Except now know reality is the news DID gallop around the world, just not on traditional sources, and maybe more perspective on how when blogs arrived, and I got one, discovered when I finally got web analytics as it finally arrived that I was getting visits from over 125 countries.

Which did NOT make sense to me at the time and was then in San Francisco, having a lovely time, which was split between my day-job working at a major insurance company doing clerical work, including writing checks oddly enough, and hanging out at The Mint, which is a San Francisco bar dedicated to karaoke. May as well give them some free publicity, though have no clue how they're doing these days as has been over 5 years since was there.

Now with a good sense of how the web is SO very different with its ability to distribute information, is odd to think that entire time was in San Francisco, was this person globally...there are words still refuse to use. I feel safer there. Is more comforting for my mental equilibrium.

Were there signs of my actual reality? Am sure there were. And debate with myself whether this situation or that thing, or oh, wow there was something...am not sure. Which also helps my mental equilibrium. What will say is, was WONDERFULLY positive so much for time there, where met a lot of interesting people. And they probably wonder more about me as often was really quite a bit, how should I describe? I like to say, fun.

Really then wasn't my fault. Was a problem of news organizations lack of efficiency, in my opinion, which continues. Have learned enough to realize do not have the full story there.

Left San Francisco in 2012, kind of to find even more solid ground to continue pondering things. And now can say, no, the press is NOT necessary for certain things. Where I know in far great detail what that means. The press actually is usually better at showing, yes. Was wondering how to continue but that is good. The press is usually better at noticing certain things.

While the web is the new thing that can throw the old style ones a bit of a loop I guess, which was brilliant for me, as gained a gentler path to global. So many questions could not only keep me guessing, but force me to at least try to be humble, you know?

Which with me? Is indeed, a great thing.

Trying to joke, but actually have had plenty of humbling experiences where learned much from them. And would not have had them a different way. Is remarkable to finally have a better grasp as web reality is becoming more routine, and discover, things went better for me than I realized, especially back then.

Over 13 years and counting to gain perspective? I'll take that, with learned gratitude.

Answering some mystery?

Finding answers for me has been refreshing and some of my answers have greatly helped explain things that were mysterious to me. Like with important ideas? Really did take it for granted that main thing was presenting to some relevant expert, who would snap up something important with glee!

That preconceived notion got tested though with my own ideas, when shared with relevant experts, and didn't get that expected, where feel like I then did the rational thing--I severely questioned my own ideas.

However, had an explanation within one of my ideas which got published in a math journal with a wacky story where chief editor tried to literally pull from electronic publication by just deleting out, and after one more edition the journal shutdown. Um, here's a link to its archives. The archives are maintained by a European organization I think is wonderful, as they clearly take math publication very seriously. They even separately link out to my original paper, and no point to give that link here. (If really want it go to my blog Some Math.)

Ok, so yeah, problem with the result is it could undermine the careers of number theorists, a type of mathematician, who might find out they, um, have no valid research as a result.

And then it's like, duh! Of course such people might not exactly have a passion for the truth in such a situation! But am just talking number theorists and maybe, though now feel more confident, very likely based on their behavior. Though yeah, a dead math journal was probably a clue.

For me, a good word for implications of my own research is, unsettled.

As much as wanted a certifying authority, publication even with that weird, was certifying. By the rules, was validated, and am now a published mathematical author. However that feeling of having the foundations of your understanding shattered, can still be there with your own ideas.

I talk about my ideas like are people. That is from a sense of the willfulness, which is my imagination. Like running away from implications so much only to realize will catch you eventually, is a sense of WILL. My ideas are relentless.

But my need to try and settle my feelings lead to so much. Driven by a need to be certain, found a functional way to check a mathematical argument. Once pondered power of what I call a functional approach decided to look for one for science. Why? To talk climate change in a more effective way.

When had a functional definition of science, oh yeah, and one for money in there somewhere though NOT formalized, also had reason to find ones for other things, including one for entertainment. And is SO simple. Isn't that weird?

Ever wonder how it could be possible that entertainment could be so simply defined as just a way to safely control mood and that be something I can claim to have made up a couple of years ago?

Just check definitions out there for entertainment and notice if there is anything like mine.

My guess is that our human ancestors understood that intuitively on such a level it was just understood, and they didn't have much time for entertainment anyway. Too busy trying to survive.

With our greater time for leisure, entertainment has risen in dominance without people feeling a need to properly abstract it. While I did end up having a need, in order to explain something else. Was explaining social media audience counts, which I think is more accurate though not as much used, as so many clearly prefer to claim as, followers.

The linkages explain much but for me, means am a person read all over the world. Which was unsettling as well. And understanding there has been so much more fun.

If those math people had acted as a proper authority, might never have figured out half the things I have. And to me would have been such a loss, though, how do you know what you don't know? Or even more directly applicable, what you never knew?

Guess I would have been happy with what I had actually. Like am now.

Maybe it was destiny. Used to hate that word. Now I mutter it to myself often.

Well there I've gone again to do my best to explain, from my perspective. Eventually some other folks WILL probably get properly gleeful over the truth of the story, and who knows what THEY will say.

For now at least I DO try, to help resolve, some mystery.

My methods with moods and science

Really feel good about locking certain things down, where for me has been life changing, and worth it to talk out how that works. One of the most profound hypotheses have had, was that authority relative to one entity is when some other entity has information needed. Which was just stunning for me, as realized for a LONG time had been seeking approval from some authority with my own ideas.

And relying on that word hypothesis, as decided to explain things a bit differently, like when I suggested over two years ago that entertainment was a way to safely control mood? Was a hypothesis.

With THAT could start looking at myself and others to determine if fit with it, or if needed to be adjusted or dismissed based on real world evidence.

Importantly considering whether or not people use entertainment to safely control mood, could lead to what I like to call predictive certainty, like how you have a good idea when you flip a light switch, whether it will come on or not. And if it doesn't, can probably figure out why.

So yeah, was working on a science of entertainment, and no, when I put ideas like that out, am not certain at THAT point, but am checking relying on a simple meta process:

Introduce a better idea, and expect people to choose better.

That thing is rather cool, as it has multiple meanings. Will pick one and note that with entertainment hypothesis, figured that people, including myself, could choose better with their entertainment! And yeah, have with mine, which was so epic. For the first time in my life, felt a great sense of control, when could pick better for my moods versus do the equivalent of channel surfing, which had learned before which was a LOT more hit or miss. Often? Mostly miss.

Now can often figure out my mood and go get the entertainment I want, like when mood is for a space epic. Yeah wanting to escape into the depths of deep space? Lots of emotions can fuel that mood. But also can realize not enough at quality I like, and wish for more. (More great space epics please, entertainment industry.)

Therefore, my secondary hypothesis was that pickier people would start pushing entertainment industry, and that earlier established processes might resist! Which would lead to collapse of revenue in those areas, EXCEPT for those who delivered. Quality entertainment would still work, of course. Give people what they want and why wouldn't they want to get it?

And with movies is just one area, but a highly visible one.

Which steps through my meta process, yet again, where this time have used a more traditional word, noting that ideas presented are often hypotheses and the presentation itself is part of the process, where then I can just check what happens, in the real world.

And better is better. I like using phrases that are tautologies. So yeah, is better IF the hypothesis is correct to know what you're doing in selecting entertainment, and as YOU choose better, and people around you choose better, you not only find greater sense of fulfillment from that entertainment, you pressure entertainment industry, to DO better.

Which I think is great. And that completes this discussion of my meta process, how what I do is a science, includes some of predictive certainty, but focuses more on the benefits of better.

For me point of sharing my ideas

Realizing would have to resolve certain things to make money, where first endeavored to understand money completely, found myself talking my own story thoroughly, as part of what would need to be able to do, if doing business with others. Which was useful, and now has me with a better grasp of the point of sharing my ideas for me.

And yeah, my feeling for a LONG time was that IF found some great idea could just show to experts in that area and WHOOSH!!!

Figuring they'd be excited and then I would get a LOT of guidance on what should happen next and routinely in the past would be practicing speeches, and interviews with the press.

Then would watch in consternation as experts did NOTHING like that, and so check the ideas. Oh, ok yeah is correct. Check research around, and IS this a big deal problem to solve? Oh, ok, yeah it is...so what's going on? Then I'd get upset, or frustrated, and was disappointment in that community I realized, which helped me greatly. Like am NOT a part of these communities. Am just someone who found some cool things to share. Like really emphasize am not a mathematician, and don't want to be, especially now.

Being a meta innovator means I get to range. Not stuck in a particular discipline which turns out is very important, and makes dysfunctional community behavior less potent. Still puzzling though.

Ideas do not care. Not like an idea will check with you to see to what human community you belong, you know? Discovery is.

Web does make the difference though, as actually would rather have objective evidence from third party sources that an idea draws interest from people all over the entire planet, as communities can get that wrong. Communities despite their best efforts are nowhere near as precise, unless relying on the web should add. Web authority has changed the game, and probably is necessary for a person to do what I do confidently, as otherwise, how would I know really? Web enables.

So the point of sharing ideas for me is to share something useful to others, where if there is extraordinary usefulness, expect an extraordinary response.

You figure excited people will talk something, and share with others, and most important?

Have questions about where those ideas can go.

One of the reasons I noted a sad, irony to the math things. They really don't have the option to ignore some of the things I found, if they wish to progress. And with over a decade with some things can just look and see they did not. And you wonder about decisions people make, and yeah, there are consequences.

So yeah, am more into the fun which DO feel myself, with a lot more freedom as have explained much, so there isn't that nagging suspicion that maybe I'm just missing something.

Where that freedom to just enjoy the ideas, their implications, and often now the changes can try to detect in the real world? Is a thrill like no other.

Sharing cool ideas is SO grand.

The best ideas do work. And that has so many meanings as they work in so many ways.

So yeah can better explain my story now, for business purposes. And it does amaze me how that kind of pressure can actually be helpful. That's cool to me too, because I did not understand that aspect before.
